Community Garden
Visual System
A welcoming garden system shaped by custom plant illustrations, approachable information design, and collaborative wayfinding.

The project
Making a shared garden easier to understand and enjoy.
Augsburg’s Design & Agency partnered with community gardeners to create a visual identity that could tell the garden’s story, clarify how the shared space is used, and make it easier to navigate. We began by surveying community members to understand their needs, expectations, and experiences within the garden.
My contributions included creating the mood board, illustrating the vegetable and herb artwork, designing infographics, developing repeating patterns, and contributing to the wayfinding concepts.
Inspired by fresh vegetables and the surrounding garden, our team developed a palette that balances warm, lively colors with deeper natural tones. This combination allows the colors to be layered without feeling overwhelming while preserving enough contrast for signage to remain visible from a distance.
Selected signage prototypes were photographed on-site to show how the system could function in the garden. Final production and installation continued after my involvement in the project ended.
