The brief
Translating two different event themes into engaging communication.
Developed in response to a design brief for two distinct SMTA event communications, the assignment called for an inviting promotional piece and a professional, information-rich speaker announcement.
The Pan Pacific invitation captures a bright, summery Hawaiian atmosphere through a pastel palette. Every visual element in the invitation was drawn by hand; only the typography uses existing fonts. For the speaker announcement, I worked within SMTA's established colors and created a custom electric vehicle charging icon to make detailed information feel approachable while maintaining a professional tone.

01 · Pan Pacific invitation
A warm, tropical direction built from hand-drawn details.
Every visual element—from the tropical flowers and landscape shapes to the sunburst and location icon—was drawn by hand, with existing fonts used only for the typography. The illustrations frame the event information without competing with it while creating a bright, energetic sense of place.
02 · Speaker announcement
Professional information, made more approachable.
The structured layout establishes a clear reading order across the event details, speaker biography, and contact information. A custom-drawn EV charging icon reinforces the topic while adding a friendly visual moment within the brand palette.
